Kieran Block was born and raised in Edmonton Alberta, Kieran, like many Canadian kids, grew-up dreaming of one day playing in the National Hockey League. He always worked hard in his training both on and off the ice as he strived toward his dream, but he never forgot the importance of his education, graduating from high school while playing major junior hockey and winning the WHL championship for the Medicine Hat Tigers in 2004.
Kieran also played for the University of Alberta Golden Bears where he earned his bachelor degree of education. He currently works as a teacher for the Edmonton Catholic School Board. Kieran has had some major challenges in his life that has led to him to representing his country as a member of team Canada’s sledge hockey team.
He is here to share his story with us.
